Senior captain Lucy Stay smiles with fellow captains sophomore Rachel Doppelhammer and senior Esther Yoon as she hoists the championship plaque in the air. Last Thursday's win turned one of Stay's greatest aspirations into reality. "State is something I've been dreaming about since I was a little girl, and the fact that we finally made it is insane," she said. "I'm looking forward to everything, but playing at the Xcel Energy Center and making unforgettable memories with my team is what I'm most excited for."

Moments after making the free throw that secured her place as the highest scorer in Albert Lea girls' basketball history, she was surrounded by her teammates and members of the student section. "“I remember immediate hugs from people and Coach Hanson and then finding my parents in the stands and just sending them a heart signal with my hands,” she said.

Holt, Cunningham and Anfinson perform one of Donna and the Dynamos' songs, "Super Trooper." The girls are good friends both on and off stage, which helped them get into character. "I like all of the 'Donna and the Dynamos' scenes," Cunningham said, referencing the numerous songs the trio sings together throughout the show. "Katie, Morgan and I have such a great bond. This helps tie into how we play our characters."

Senior Maddie Schneider is a captain on the girls' varsity soccer team with aspirations of playing college soccer. Before the season was halted, a college scout was planning on attending the Sept. 18 game against Owatonna to possibly recruit her. "Missing the game against Owatonna will affect me because the scout was there to watch me play and see how I am as a player," Schneider said. "If I met requirements, I would have a spot on that college team."
