This summer I decided to make the most out of it and buy as many concert tickets as possible. The first live shows I had ever watched were with my family at a music festival in Atlanta, Georgia in 2019. Since then I have become obsessed with seeing artists live. I connect with music on a personal level, whatever I am feeling I want to listen to music that fits my exact emotion. I am never too happy or too sad for a good song.
So far, I have seen Megan Moroney, Zac Brown Band, Kenny Chesney, Future and Metro Boomin, Tate McRae, and Cage the Elephant. The best show had to have been Tate McRae as she is one of my favorite artists. Something unbelievable that happened at her concert was when she left the stage and went on the balcony right above me. I was starstuck to say the least. I have been fortunate enough to see many huge artists live. Some of these include Miley Cyrus, Tate McRae, Taylor Swift, Travis Scott, Maroon 5, and many more.
Seeing music live is a whole new experience that I recommend everyone tries. The feeling of seeing someone you admire and hearing a song that you have listened to countless times in real life is something words can not explain.
Although I would love to be front row at every concert I am able to attend, that is just not realistic. Instead of spending hundreds of dollars per show on tickets I buy nosebleeds for almost nothing. This is how I am able to attend so many shows. I know some people look down on nosebleed seats but I believe that a concert is a concert. Even the seat furthest away from the stage can be the best place to be if you decide it is.
I did not know all the songs that Cage the Elephant or Future and Metro Boomin sang. However, I made the most of the concerts anyway. Just being able to say I saw them and sing the few songs I did know is enough for me.
Once summer is past I am not done attending concerts for the year. In late August, I will be attending Billy Currington. I am excited to see him because one of his songs, “It Don’t Hurt Like it Used To” is one that I listen to through all kinds of heartbreak in my life. In October, I have two concerts that I plan to attend. One being Quinn XCII and the other being $uicideBoys.
I do not plan to stop buying tickets anytime soon. Any artist I have the chance to see, I will try it.
