As we approach adulthood, learning how to do things on our own is important. Volume 91 of the Ahlahasa, which hit the stands on Feb 4, 2004, has an article from copy editor Amy Larson. This article touches on the idea that teenagers need to learn how to handle life independently. This doesn’t necessarily mean parents should stop parenting but rather make sure their children are set up to be productive members of society; such as being able to do your taxes, make sure you can get yourself up on time, and do simple chores like laundry.
