Senior Morgan Rasmussen has a lot of car troubles but not the kind you might be thinking of. She isn’t talking about running out of gas or being stranded on the side of the highway. Her troubles always happen when she isn’t in the car.
“I’ve been robbed many times,” she said, admitting that she knows of at least four times her car has been broken into. “The doors don’t lock anymore. Sometimes my windows shut down.”
Rasmussen talks about the things wrong with her car, “someone could technically steal it using an iPhone charger if they wired it correctly.”
She said people take advantage of her busted car by stealing the random stuff she used to keep in there like cash and coins.
Rasmussen said, “I was working a job last year and there was a homeless camp… people would take extra things I had in there. Like I got my deodorant got stolen or my hairbrush.”
Rasmussen has luckily never had anything valuable stolen and is not upset about the things she has lost.
“Everything is replaceable,” she said. “I don’t really care enough to fix it.”
