Rebekah Crissinger has been the Orchestra teacher for Albert Lea School District since 2007. Crissinger’s extracurriculars impact a lot of people including an Excel Youth Orchestra.
“We are in the process of hosting our first honors orchestra,” said Crissinger.
She and a couple other conductors have created a board for the honor orchestra. One of their plans is to give middle-level orchestra kids, 5th-8th graders, music to practice. She is going to have them come and practice for one day and that night host a concert. This may be the first time but she does not want it to be the last.
“It will be a one-time thing right now but we have dreams of making it year round,” said Crissinger.
