January Editorial
The second semester is arguably the hardest part of the year for most students. Seasonal depression starts to hit and all motivation is lost. For many people, it is a constant struggle to make it to the end of the school year.
We at Ahlahasa have noticed and personally experienced the everyday battle of whether it is worth it to go to school today or would it just be better to take care of your mental health and stay home to recharge. If we choose to stay home and sleep, we are then left with the overload of a day’s makeup work which just adds to our already overwhelmed lives.
At times, the school year feels like a never ending race where you can just barely see the end. However, we want to remind you that we have made it this far, nearly halfway through the third quarter. It won’t be long and spring will be here, bringing with it a feeling of rejuvenation and growth. Soon we will be reminded that our current hardships are just that – a battle – something short term that will come to an end.
Continue fighting, do not give up, and keep your day.
