There is currently no threat to ALHS the school day will continue as normal.

None of the threats that have been made to any of the schools have been proven to be legitimate. There is an automated message calling police departments all across the United States reporting that there is an active shooter at the local high school. Mankato West High School is also one of many to experience a swatting incident. This is at the national level and the Federal Bureau of Investigation is working on finding who is making these calls as they are all across the United States.

Albert Lea Police Department did receive a call claiming there was an active shooter and they are responding. The increase in officers at the building is protocol and is no cause for concern.
