Going Digital & Going Green
You may have noticed the lack of ink-filled papers flapping around the school. Much like other changes happening this year, the beloved student news source, the Ahlahasa, is going digital for the 2020-2021 school year. You may be asking yourself, “Why? We all loved getting ink all over our fingertips while reading the paper!”
Trust us, we did too.
However, for the first time ever, we are going completely online. The switch to an online paper is partially due to the lack of time spent in person at school. Although we will miss getting to feel and see our words printed, we are excited that everyone, whether hybrid learners or distance learners, will be able to virtually get their hands on our stories.
This switch to an online paper comes with great benefits. Besides the easy access to all of our published articles, we can also share the word and concern for environmental justice. This also allows us to take action to help our planet.
The Ahlahasa is going green! With the first year of a new decade almost over, it’s time to turn a new page and look to our future. Although news will constantly be blazing, we don’t want the same for our planet.
We ask you to join us in making the planet a healthier home for all of us. Whether it’s substituting reusable materials for one-use plastics or advocating for big businesses to be more environmentally conscious, the planet needs our help!
Let’s all do our part to make the rest of 2020 a little bit cleaner by taking care of our world. Join the Ahlahasa in our quest to be more environmentally conscious in our everyday lives! Share this story, this news and concern for our planet.
