This month’s book for the ALHS Bookends is “The Memory of Things” which takes place during 9/11. Mrs. Bute is in charge of the book club, and can most definitely provide you with more information on 9/11 if you are interested after reading the book.
This book club runs on Twitter, search #alhsbookends and follow the conversation. Some ALHS English teachers even give extra credit to students who read the book and join the Twitter gathering. This month it will be held on Saturday Feb. 25 at 3 p.m.
Students involved have even had access to the author of the book who had joined the conversation. Mrs. Bute said the author of “The Memory of Things” was excited to have her book chosen and will hopefully join the #alhsbookends.
