Swimmers prepare for their race to begin

AL Swimmers Look Forward

As senior year begins, some student-athletes begin to make the decision of where they will attend college next year.

After visiting Tennessee and considering USC, senior Lindsey Horejsi has verbally committed to The University of Minnesota.

The UofM is a school she has been to many times for swimming. She chose this school for it’s proximity to home and her love for the Twin Cities

“It felt like home.” Horejsi commented.

Horejsi is planning on studying Kinesiology- the study of human movement.

She was planning to visit University of Southern California a school she had traveled to through swim camps, and had visited the University of Tennessee, but neither felt like a good decision

Lindsey is excited to swim as a gopher with former opponents.

Anna Andersen will be heading to University of North Dakota in the fall to study nursing. She’s excited to swim with a fun team and good coaches. Andersen chose this school for its proximity to Albert Lea (six hours by car) and because it’s a good fit for her academically and athletically.

“I have goals to work for there.” Andersen noted, and she feels like she can achieve them at UND.

She enjoys the nice facilities that UND has to offer and feels she fits right in on the team, she noted that she is not too fast and not too slow compared to her new team, she’s perfectly in the middle.

We wish all these great athletes good luck in their endeavors at college.
