year ago Justin Stuart didn’t think he’d be a dad, but on March 19th his world turned around. He found his baby girl, Karsyn Nichole, is due Nov. 16th. She could be here as early as the end of October, though.
“I’m really excited to have her in my arms.” Stuart said, smiling.
When they found out for sure, all he could do was smile and hug his girlfriend, Nikki Yost.
“He kept smiling, but he wouldn’t talk so it was really weird” stated Nikki.
Not many teens are excited to be parents in high school, but Justin is ecstatic. As her due date gets closer, he gets more and more nervous about having a baby in his life.
“Baby!” Stuart says, laughing “No I’m just nervous for her to be here.”
Telling family is usually the worst thing to do in most teen pregnancy cases. But Justin’s mother took it better than most.
“She was really pissed at first,” Stuart said. “But now she’s just really happy.”
Justin definitely has a good support system behind him. His sisters are always talking to him and Nikki about what’s going on. His friends are also willing to help as much as they can.
Right when Justin found out he was going to be a father he took action.
“I walked over to Hardees to get applications for me and Nikki.” Stuart said “And I took drivers education class so I can get my license soon”
Nikki sadly didn’t get the job at Hardees, but Justin has been working at Hardees since June of 2012. He wants to be able to support his daughter as much as he can.
With plans to stay in school and work, he worries about being there for Karsyn. He does plan to stay with Nikki in the long run and raise a family, though.
“I love my little family,” Stuart said.
