You yell into the sky. For a moment, it appears that nothing has happened. Then, out of nowhere, a dragon lands on the ground in front of you. This is just one of the many abilities you have in “Skyrim”.
Skyrim is, hands down, the best video game I’ve ever played. There has not been anything that I’ve wanted to do that I’ve been unable to do. The game has an unlimited number of possibilities.
The gameplay in “Skyrim” is flawless. When I play the game it feels natural. The movements of your character look good. The balance of character types is just right. No character type feels too powerful.
“Skyrim” looks absolutely beautiful. The world looks like a painting. The waterfalls look Crystal clear, and beautiful. The wildlife in the game react naturally, and look real. People in the game look good, and are natural looking. They move about in a natural way, doing things that make sense.
The game engine of “Skyrim” is fantastic. It runs in the way that you want it. The physics are natural. For instance, when a river is flowing in a certain direction, and you jump in, you go with the current. When an object has a heavy weight, it is actually harder to pick up than a lighter object. The world reacts naturally in almost everyday.
The only concern I had with this game was the way the main story ended. It was anti-climatic. I found myself being confused, and thinking, “this is it?” Don’t get me wrong, the ending was truly fantastic, and looked really good. But it ended so suddenly, it left me wishing for more. However, there’s so much more besides the main story, that it wasn’t that big of a flaw.
Overall, I give “Skyrim” a 9.75 out of 10. All I wish was that the story line was a little longer. But with more than sixty hours of game play, that really doesn’t matter. If you haven’t picked up “Skyrim” yet, I definitely recommend it.
