Take a look around your classroom; how many people are wearing variations of the outfits pictured to the left? I bet at least two or three, or even more if it’s a Monday.
We wake up to the chilly Minnesota air wishing to stay in our warm beds all day. Not caring how you look, you throw on whatever is most comfortable and warm. For us girls, it’s sweatpants/leggings tucked into boots with a sweatshirt. Guys like to choose jeans with a fleece jacket/hoodie. We’re all guilty of being apathetic when it comes to your outfit on a cold day.
I’m not saying this is a bad thing at all. I’ve been known to rock my little boots with the fur and a Columbia fleece. They’re about the coziest clothing items ever.
But take a step out of your comfort-zone, guys and gals. It is possible to be fashionable as well as warm in these snowy months. Girls, keep the leggings and pair a nice, over-sized knit sweater with them. Guys, ditch the boring old fleece sweatshirt and put on the fancy cardigan. Scarves are a must-have for the Midwest winter months. Hats are another trend you’ve been seeing around school lately; pretty much everyone looks good in them.
It’s easy and convenient to wear the same thing every week, but dress outside the box every once and awhile. Even though you don’t have any energy, take the time in the morning to add something unique to your outfit.
